About .NET Framework
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 offline installer is the top application development platform. It is a cross-platform app development tool from Microsoft. It provides many programming models, a library of pre-built code and a runtime environment. It is usually built for creating and running applications on Microsoft Windows operating systems.
The .NET Framework provides multiple programming languages such as C#, F#, or Visual Basic and Common Intermediate Language (CIL). Any developer uses it to easily build a business and premium applications like web applications, desktop applications, mobile apps, and services.
Common Language Runtime (CLR)
The CLR is a runtime environment. It manages the execution of .NET applications for memory management, exception handling, and security services. This feature helps developers a lot. Developers use this tool to write the code of an application in their own way, which is the application’s enhanced security, versioning and deployment support, a simplified model for component interaction, and debugging and profiling services.
Base Class Library (BCL)
The BCL is a big collection of reusable Instantiate classes, types, and APIs. Any developer can use the tool to work with strings, files, networking, databases, and more.
Language Integrated Query (LINQ)
LINQ is a normal set of language extensions. It helps developers to query and manipulate data from different sources, such as SQL databases, XML documents, various Web services and common syntax. Those who work with SQL databases should take the help of this tool.
Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
WPF is a UI framework. Maximum developers use it to take advantage of modern graphics hardware or Windows desktop applications. It supports advanced 2D and 3D graphics, typography, animation, text, templates etc.
Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
WCF is generally used to increase performance, scalability and security of an application. WCF tools play an immense role in making an application installable on all platforms.
WCF offers a huge amount of helpful tools to create service-oriented applications, Web service interoperability, multiple message patterns, service metadata, durable messages, data contracts, SSL security, HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) etc. It supports reliable message exchange, transactions, AJAX, REST etc.
Now .NET Framework 4.0 and 4.0 v 30319 is no longer supported. We recommended at least Framework 4.6.2 +.
